What is the Kinematic Measurement System
The Kinematic Measurement System (KMS) is a computerised system for testing and training athletes and patients.
The KMS comes with two options for timing lights. The Original Infra Red Sensor and the all new OptoSmart Sensor
An inexpensive yet powerful tool for clinical assessment and rehabilitation. Based on millisecond timing of events using light switches and contact mats.
KMS can be used to measure agility , anaerobic power , cutting speed, sprint speed, jump height and power, contact time, foot speed, gait timings, interval training, functional capacity etc..

The all new OptoSmart Sensor Porta Kit
The OptoSmart sensor allows for the same KMS software functionality as the original infrared sensor but increases the ease of setup by removing the need for reflectors.
This means that the OptoSmart Sensor Porta kit comes with only 4 stands and no reflectors.
The OptoSmart sensors have a range of up to 2m.
The sensors have a built in socket that the linking cables simply plug into.

Free introduction into the KMS Software
The fully functional KMS program can be downloaded for your free trial and testing. If you wish to purchase the software then please follow the registration instructions displayed when the program is first run. Once you register we will email or fax your registration code out to you. On entering this code into the KMS program, you will have a fully functional, registered version for your continued use.
Usually, switch inputs are provided by the various hardware that we supply. So that you can trial the software, we have simulated the switch inputs with an on screen switch. When you run any of the tests, clicking the right mouse button on that switch.
It will provide the same results as would be obtained from a person running through the timing lights or jumping on the contact mat.

Most professional fitness coaches opt for the KMS Pro model type set-up as described above.
However even the KMS Basic model is fully expandable. Add as many timing gates, contact mats, plugs, cables & connections etc. that are required to achieve the required tests.
The simple fact is that if you can't measure performance outputs, you can't quantify any improvements that result from successful training programs either.
i.e. If you can't measure it you can't manage it!
However, that does not mean that such quantification need be complex or expensive!
What our trial KMS Software package provides is quite capable of simulating (via the on screen switch,) any athletes' power outputs for vertical jumps, loaded jump squats plus all 'contact' & 'run' menu options.

In the first 12 months from the equipment purchase date - the first 2 hours online support is free of charge. Thereafter an invoice will be submitted to clients requesting support with our details for a Bank EFT payment. The invoice cost will be based in increments of 15 minute time periods spent here. Most issues are fixed online in 15 – 30 minutes. Real time support is also available via Skype which enables our support engineers to speak with clients to take them through the steps whilst viewing their PC screen at the same time (Skype anywhere is free of all phone costs.)
