Measurement of vertical ground reaction force combined with the Ballistic Measurement System (BMS) software provides very accurate data on athlete performance in:
- vertical jump (single or multiple)
- traditional isotonic lifting training in squat or dead lift.
- isometric testing of functional tasks such as squat or dead lift.
- weightlifting movements such as snatch, clean, and pull
- place a bench on the plate and you can measure upper body performance in bench press or bench throw
Performance in vertical jumping provides valuable information on leg extensor strength qualities. The BMS calculates a range of key performance variables:
- peak and average force
- peak and average power output
- peak velocity
- maximum rate of force development
- starting strength
- jump height
- flight to contact ratio
One test in particular: The 5 x Counter Movement Jump test using the 400S provides auto saved diagnostic Strength & Conditioning data that has set a new benchmark for our professional football team customers. See the 400 Series Force Plate in action >> Click to preview <<
